RACE.ED and SPS EDI warmly invite the academic and local community to come together to remember Professor Jason Arday through his publications, pedagogical practice inside and outside the classroom, and the memories and words shared by his students and colleagues. As Professor Arday spoke of love as the most important concept, method, and inspiration for advancing social justice, it is in this spirit of love and solidarity that we hope to bring everyone together to honour him.

Together, we will remember him as a family member, friend, academic, political sibling, and, as always, an antiracist disruptor.

Music will also fill the room as we enjoy Professor Arday's favourite songs, the soundtracks that accompanied him throughout his life.

We will hold space for those who would like to share a memory, read a passage, or reflect on how Professor Arday inspired their work and lives.

We welcome everyone who knew Jason, whose lives he touched, or who has been inspired by his work to join us in remembering and celebrating his loving legacy.

This event is organised with the acknowledgement of the family.
